Happy Birthday To You!

Hi everyone! What kind of embellishments do you love to use on your card? For me, I love buttons, pearls, ribbon, and flowers... can't seems to create without them! :) Another card I made from scraps to share with you today. I just love the Basic Grey patterned paper, so beautiful!! The silk ribbon is too short to wrap around the card, so I decided to tie it on the tag instead. I hope you enjoy it! Have a beautiful day!!

TESC98 Sketch Challenge

Hi everyone! How's your week so far? I hope it's beautiful! We are having a very windy and wet week, didn't get to go anywhere with my girls! :(

What's your creating process? Do you pick the color scheme and the patterned paper first, or you sketch first and go from there? I have to have the sketch first and then go from there. Today I'm sharing a card I made for the TESC98 Sketch Challenge. This is the first time I play, I think I went a little over board with the sketch! :) I hope you enjoy it, thank you for looking!

This is how it looks inside when you open it.

Raining Day Creations!

Hi everyone, I hope you are having a wonderful week so far! It's very windy and wet here since yesterday! Since we had to stay home all day, my girls and I made some cards yesterday! We had fun, I should make cards with them more often! :) Enjoy, TFL!!

A super simple card to used up scraps (I have a big pile)! :)

The sweet Donna enable me with the Pure Innocence digi image, thanks Donna!! Isn't this little girl adorable?!

My girls and I colored the GF Mermaid Anya pink!! I know the pink is kind of shocking, but we had fun coloring her all pink! :) The one on the right was made by my 7 years old, so proud of her!

Sending Smiles

Hi everyone, happy Monday! I hope you all had a wonderful weekend! I'm just in love with the Greeting Farm's digi fairies, they are very addicting! I used the Summer Fairy on today's card; she is a beauty and so fun to color too!! Enjoy and hope you have a wonderful day!

I also enter this for my sweet and talented friend Virginia's "Beat the Winter Blahs" Challenge.

The rule is simple: create a card/page/project to cheer some one special up in the winter. However, the creation has to have a WOW factor, meaning that it will have a special feature. It can be a special/new technique, color combo, unique embellishment or an original design...anything your heart desires! Whatever you consider is a WOW factor all qualifies. This challenge is open to anyone. You can enter as many as you like and combine this challenge with others. So please tell your friend/relatives about it or just blog it.

For more detail information, please visit her blog.

Fast or Slow?

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a wonderful week so far! Are you a fast or a slow card maker? I'm definitely a slow one! Usually it takes me 1-2 hours to make a card, I think I might be the slowest stamper ever... LOL!!

Did you see the fabulous video tutorial by Dawn on how to make the poofy flowers? How can I not make some, they are so adorable!! Thank you for the wonderful tutorial, Dawn!!

I received an award from my sweet and talented blogging friend Jill, thank you Jill! Please hop over to her blog for more inspiration!!

The rules are as follows:

1. Copy the award to your blog.
2. Link to the person who gave you the award.
3. Identify 7 interesting things about yourself.
4. Choose 7 other bloggers to pass this award on to.
5. Link to their blogs and let them know about this award.

Oh boy, I really had to think about this one for a long time! I really don't have any interesting facts about me, but here we go:

1. I love dancing! I taught Ballet when I was in Taiwan, and I'm hoping to pick up Hip Hop before I'm too old... haha.

2. My must see TV shows are House, So You Think You Can Dance, and American Idol.

3. My favorite color is purple.

4. I don't like to see dentist (bad childhood experience).

5. I love high heel shoes, they make me taller. :)

6. I have wavy hair, but I don't like my wave. I have to use the flat iron to straighten my hair everyday!

7. I have to have coffee first thing in the morning to keep me going!

A lot of you already have the award, so please feel free to grab it if you like to play along! :)

There you have it, I hope you are still awake! :) Thank you for stopping by, have a beautiful week!

Friendship Flower Pot

Hi everyone, Happy Friday! Today's card is for the Hero Arts challenge. They are having a new challenge format now, be sure to check it out!!

I decided to write the tutorial for this flower pot. This is the first time I write any tutorial, forgive me if I'm really bad at it! :) I will improve next time, thanks for reading!! Have a beautiful weekend, enjoy!!

How to:

1. Score 9"x 3 1/2" piece of card stock in landscape position at 2" and 5 1/2".

2. Fold the 2" score line in a mountain fold and the 5 1/2" score line in a valley fold.

3. Punch the edge of the 2" front flap with the scallop edge punch.

4. To create the flower pot shape, place the cardstock in the paper trimmer with the top 2" flap flipped up and the bottom flap folded behind.

Line up the 2" score line with the cutting track and the 5 1/2" fold line with the 1/2" mark on the trimmer.

Place the cutting guide over the card and cut. turn cardsotck and repeat.

5. Decorated the flower pot the way you like and I used the distress ink to ink the edge of the pot.

6. Tie the ribbon around the top part of the flower pot to hold the pot together, attach a button to the ribbon if you like.

7. Adhere the 2 1/4"x4 1/4" piece of patterned paper to the 2 1/2"x 4 1/2" piece of cardstock. This will be the insert piece with the hearts attached at the top. Stamp your sentiment on the lower portion.

8. Stamp 3 big hearts and 2 small hearts using different colors, cut out and arrange the hearts the way you like them on the top portion of the insert.

9. Ta Da... you have the friendship flower pot! :)

This is super fun to make, I hope you will give it a try!!
